This three-part piece borrows its text from Act I Scene II of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.” Each vocal part is relatively simple, yet independent of the others, which creates interesting dissonances, opportunities for part-independence, and singing precise intervals in a minor key. Utilizing limited ranges within each part, this arrangement is ideal for musically advanced (late junior high or high school) ensembles.
